Skillful, Compassionate care
Kayla Dougia, DVM
Dr. Dougia brings over 20 years of veterinary experience to Meridianville Pet Hospital, which she opened in December 2012 after years as a relief veterinarian in Madison County. She has a special interest in feline medicine and also loves working with canine patients, especially Golden Retrievers. At home, she shares her life with rescue animals, including her dog Tasso and three rescue cats.

Led by Dr. Kayla Dougia, we're an independently owned, full-service animal hospital that has served Meridianville and the greater Madison County community since 2012. We are new to the area and this was our first visit. One of our Girls has Addisons Disease so it was very important for us to find a Vet that has experience with Addisons. Dr D does! She was wonderful, Vet Tech Kim was super sweet and Crystal at the front desk was very helpful with scheduling and getting records from our previous Vet. We had nails clipped, glands expressed exams done and vaccines administered. It was an extremely good experience!

Dr Dougia was exceptional. Emmy, my cat, required surgery and she was scheduled the next day. When I picked up Emmy, Dr Dougia met with me and explained what she found and answered my questions. The office contacted me the next day to check on Emmy. Dr Dougia and staff are very caring and thoughtful of their clients. I followed Dr Dougia from her last practice and will remain with MeriPets for all my fur babies.
